I don't know anything about GUE other than what I read here. For me most agencies lost their integrity a long time ago, but that is for another post.

Anyone who offers to do this is OK in my book. A friend of mine died in a diving accident more than 10 years ago. His friends started a memorial scholarship for student in marine related programs. For the first few years, instructors and friends of his would hold a one-day safety and rescue workshop at UC Santa Barbara. Instructors and others would donate their time and literally dozens of divers would get trained or retrained.

It is amazing what the community can do when it comes together.
