LA County and GLACD offers the 3-R's (Rocks, Rips, and Reefs) 'how to beach dive' class each month starting in May. Its taught by (unpaid) volunteers and the price is a whopping $5 (for lunch). I try to attend as many of these as I can as its a great way to practice skills, learn from true masters, and just have a nice morning with some really nice people.

My challenge is that I'll cut a check to the Chamber for $50 for my attendance at May's 3-R's and I challenge others to come to this class and do the same.
