MHK has had issues with many and vice versa. However, his proposal should be taken on its merits irregardless of any personal feelings towards its proponent. Personally I welcome it as yet another potential way to support the Chamber.

I understand that many dive professionals will not be in the upper income brackets come April 15th. Marine biologists often fall into a similar category. If MHK's proposal would impose financial hardships, that is understandable. However, that alone is not reason to dismiss the idea altogether.

We should all look at ways to ensure the Chamber survives and is healthy. Some day you or I may need its services.
