Sadly, since a store that participated in a prior year had 20+ people that had never been to Beverly Hills, suddenly start receiving email and advertising solicitations from a dive store in Beverly Hills, that store will not participate again. They felt that a list of chamber day participants should not be used to benefit a particular store. If checks that were cashed and deposited into a stores account didn't get to the chamber, or don't appear on a donors list it could be an "accounting error" but if stores get upset that their customers become the recipients of advertising from a competitor just because they participated in chamber day, that is a different matter. If you were a real person, I'd invite you to view canceled checks, and then maybe you could figure out where the money went.
