Harassment for spearfishing

So a few weeks ago I was on a dive boat and as usual I went spearfishing. I came up with a nice 16-inch Calico bass that I was very proud of because those fish are difficult to spear and it was the first Calico bass I've ever gotten. Some people were completely amazed that a female could use a speargun (ooo...wow), but others decided that it was a nice chance to completely harass me. I had multiple people come up to me and either offer me money to stop or to exchange the gun with a video camera or yell at me because I'm killing everything and they want to see the backside of Anacapa look like the front side once again. Wow. All of this because of one fish.

I was just wondering if anyone else out there in diving world has had the same problem or if these are just guys who haven't graduated from 2nd grade and still express their likeness for girls by being mean to them.
