It seems there should have been some monster lings along with many other assorted rockfish along with clouds of blues hanging in the water column, but nothing like that. Farnsworth is fished heavily since it is a easy boat since Catalina is the destination for many of the multitude of local boaters and fishermen. The clouds of blues are not common at Catalina, San Clemente, or Santa Barbara Island. That niche in the system seems to be held by blacksmith here. At the other five channel islands you see mixed schools of blues and blacksmith. When you get up to Northern California there are just blues. It seems to change with the average water temperature for a given locale.
