Non-Diving Ab Report |
Posted by Walt on April 17, 2006 at 17:41:35: Just returned from a week in Point Arena (no diving; just enjoying planting trees in the rain). Lots of ab divers along entry points at Stewart's Point and Salt Point - about 9 to 10 AM most were getting out of thier gear with a full day's take. Arrive early to get a parking spot as most along-the-road parking areas were full (except for state beach paid parking). No divers at Van Damme where I usually see a few (likely due to runoff) or the conservancy cove near Point Arena lighthouse (was rough the 2 days I toured there, but likley calm now). There is a detour from the 1 near Fort Ross due to a slide (go thorugh Timber Cove) - not bad, but adds about 30 minutes or so to the drive, but the mountain top scenery is worth it! |
