"Government" takes a long time coming or will not deliver what you really want or we really need. Do your part now and drive less, drive smarter, and when looking for a car, look for an alternative fuel / fuel efficient car.

"Government" is contradictory at best - I'd like to put a wind generator on my property so to reduce fossil fuel CO2 emissions, but the coastal commission says 'no' - it'd be viewable (not block the view, mind you, but just be seen). Go figure.
