Webcam at Gerstle Cove

A group of us northies are trying to get a webcam installed at the Gerstle Cove ranger shack that overlooks the cove. It would be nice to be able to see conditions before making the drive up there. We spoke to the officials and they said "sure, no problem, but we don't have any money for it". We said no problem, we will find a way to foot the bill.
So we will be thinking of creative ways to gather funds to do this. We will need about $1000 to get the webcam intalled and running for a year. That is a rough figure +-.
I came up with the idea to have a fundraising dive and picnic some where up there. For a fee you would get a t-shirt, barbecue lunch and dive with buddies. I'm going to try and get manufacturers to donbate gear for raffle prizes or silent auction for exposure and participant draw. I know I'll donate.
