Very large (6 to 8 ft) soupfins fill out and get a "husky" look of bigger sharks. Until then they seem to remain on the thiner side. Most of the ones I have observed while diving were on the thin side, consider yourself lucky to see a fully grown filled out one. They are a rare sight.
