Adm. Linda and I took DIR-F a couple of years ago. We both owned
Halcyon backplates before the class because a buddy had loaned me
one, and I liked it and bought one, and I loaned mine to Adm.
Linda, and she liked it. We learned a lot in the class, but we
haven't bought a single piece of Halcyon gear since.

The purpose of DIR-F is to introduce divers to a a different way
of thinking about their diving, esp. that the skill level that was
acceptable to get their OW and AOW cards is still relatively low,
and with a bit caring about their skills and practice during dives,
it can be considerably improved.

I don't consider myself a DIR diver, but I learned a lot in the
class.
