The RATE of temperature change is the most telling point suggesting it is highly correlated with industrial development and the burning of fossil fuels. Natural periods of climate change usually aren't anywhere near this abrupt unless they are linked to catatrophic events such as asteroid strikes or extreme periods of vulcanism.
