Open Spaces on Dive Trips This Weekend

(One submission to openings@diver.net this week)

Open spaces are available on the Saturday, May 20, 1006. Sea Diver trip. The Great Escape will depart Saturday Morning at 5am (as always, boarding the night before is encouraged) for the wreck of the Moody. The Moody is a US destroyer that was decommissioned in 1930 and the sinking was filmed in the 1933 movie "Hell Below". As the Moody lies in approximately 140 ft. of water, it is a deep and often dark dive where visibility can be anywhere between 10 and 100 feet, it is also sometimes subject to mid channel currents. The depth and location of this wreck support a scenic structure with dense growth of colorful anemones and white metridiums. This dive is geared to advanced and experienced divers. After the Moody, the dive sites will mellow into scenic recreational diving at the wreck of the Avalon, followed by another site off Palos Verdes.
