The X650 is FAR from crap, its one of the best breathing regs on the market. I've been using one for a year and its been the best second stage I've ever owned. Mine is not one of the recall models and I've had no problems. Scubapro will get this fixed soon I'm sure.
I also have known many folks who loved the D400, thats why they brought this new, improved model back.
