fin comparison

Hung on a fence over fins. Can anyone advise me? Planning on some ab diving and don't know wether my IDI frog fins will serve me best, or buy a fellow's ScubaPro Jet Fins. They are shorter, wider, and it seems many people swear by them. Mark James, a Navy guy/ab diver who turned up in the Sierra Club Mag uses them, and he should know, right?
On the other hand, I have always shied away from the Jets, due to the cavernous mouth; looks more like a garage than a foot pocket. Won't they shift around on the foot and muddle the control?
Then there's the Aqualung Rocket Fin, nearly identical to the Jet Fin, but looks more streamlined. Do the looks translate into performance?
I'm not even taking into account the Splitfin Debate, but if someone wants to add anything there I'd be obliged.
