Anastasia, thanks very much for the reply. We are on the Island Time, a smaller, faster boat out of Long Beach. Only the front half of the boat is covered/protected (similar to the Scuba Cat on Catalina). It sounds like a drysuit may be the way to go; I get cold easily. I was a little concerned about the drag of the drysuit and current; that's the reason I was considering diving wet, but anything below 60 in my wetsuit pretty much paralyzes me!!
