I personally don't have anything against Tri mix or technical diving. The way that it is taught. by at least the most vocal, is great for some people with SOME specific goals.
My goal is to take photos, not to dive as a "team" or to have to focus on a buddy instead of my passion. When they make a tri mix class that teaches you to be a solid solo tri mix diver - that is the class for me.
It is all perspective - if I had to dive as part of a "team" - my team would carry my six extra cameras. They would be fully equiped camera caddies. I can't even find anyone to schlep one of them. Go figure.
