One can get 'bent' while following a 'safe' dive profile. I've known excellent divers who've been bent while following good plans...the undeserved hits. (And some not-so-good divers who did not get an otherwise well-earned hit.)

Good planning and execution helps avoid DCS - namely, training practice, and experience. But the risk is always there.

Asking for a score card on this is tasteless.
