I think there are a lot of divers here who own their own boat.
I have a couple of questions as to listening to marine radio channels.
For those of you who live further inland how do you listen to the marine radio?
I find it interesting to listen to the channels from home. My problem is that I live in Simi Valley. The marine channels don't seem to be able to reach my radio. I can hear the weather channels but not any of the others channels like 13 or 16. Do I need to find some kind of roof top antenna? Is there a way to listen to the area channels on the internet instead?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a Standard Communications walkie talkie that's brand new.
