Dear Ken,
use the automobile industry as an example.

Let's pick BMW (Suunto is kind of high end).

In theory you can buy a BMW almost everywhere in the world and get it repaird everywhere in the world (YES, BMWs break down too ....).

Have you ever found a car mechanic fixing your car for free? Or even a dealer?

You should publish a "repair/return" price list - same for everyone - and no special deal for just Jeff Shaw - and spell out the various conditions / situations (bought from us = $0 cost (assuming that this is what the manufacturer offer to you), bought in China ... = $1,000 ... and so on). In such price list, you should at minimum cover your costs (shipping AND your time - make it $200 per hour ....) and eventually some service fee .... like ALL the mechanics in the world do.

I am in favour of Internet and I use it. But I do not expect people to loose money instead of me when I get stuck with some bad deal.

Regards,

I_AM
