Consider this original photo of a kelp rockfish.

Using Paint Shop Pro I transformed this photo into this final result.

To do the transformation Idid the following steps.

Using the Color Chanel Mixer:
a) mixed some green into the red channel
b) reduced the intensity of the green channel
c) increased the intensity of the blue channel

Using the Histogram Adjustment:
a) lowered the white point until the right part of the histigram was just below saturation
b) increased theblack point a little bit past where the histigram het the left side.
