Take an empty aluminum 80. Add 901psi of helium, then 582psi of oxygen. Top off with air to 3000psi. This will give you a mix of 30/30 with a ppo of 1.5 at 130 feet. Give $300 to MHK. Dive at Osborne Bank. If "someone" complains about using a single 80 to 130 feet, don't worry about it. If "someone" says you should have deco gas, don't worry about it. This method of diving, although it sounds a lot like what "someone" was complaining about is within the guidelines of GUE's resort course, Recreational Triox. It allows for a maximum depth of 132 feet using a single tank and only your buddy as a backup. Who wrote this course outline? Hmmm.
Let's see, he said it is designed for someone diving in the Caymans at 60 feet. Why would someone diving in warm, clear water need trimix for a 60 foot dive? Who knows. "Someone" complains about PADI lowering their standards, yet when I asked why GUE would allow single tank dives to 132' he said the other agencies don't require it so why should GUE. Glad to see they are "doing it right" :-)
