Eyes and Roses |
Posted by Elaine on July 20, 2006 at 14:02:25: I went "diving with Ross O" over the Fourth of July weekend. At Hawthornes reef I found my first Hopkins Rose. I used my little strobe and my flashlight for fill light to photograph this one. What I learned is that they overexpose easily. The white on their papillae is very reflective. On our last dive at a shallow reef we found an octopus who sat patiently for macro photos. My fill light flashlight battries were dead at this point. Ross figured out my sign language and used his light for the fill on this octopus eye photo.
