I started swimming back but I just wasn't making any progress. I finally gave in and signalled the boat with a "diver in distress" waving over my head signal. After awhile, the DM finally stop chatting up the ladies and noticed me (I was a long ways away). With a befuddled look on his face, he waved back at me and then turned back to the ladies. The food was pretty bad as well. I STILL left $40 tip. I'm just a softie - I see these guys putting in long hours and I'm glad they're around. However, after this trip I really need to connect service with compensation.
