A Great Idea!!!!!

A "Paul Meister White Point Memorial Clean-up" is a terrific idea. Whites Point was definitely "Paul's Place". We made him a street sign once that changed the name of Whites Point to "Meister Point State Beach". Paul always said "nobody cares about Whites Point" - and in part because of the hydrothermal vents it is such a special place.

Paul helped a lot of things to happen at Whites Point - Research, Education, and even classrooms on the beach!

One thing he stressed over and over is "diving has got to be fun or people won't do it" - So, in addition to the clean up, if this is in his honor, a really fun day would need to be right up there on the priority list. Thanks Walt for your efforts. Do you think that something could be worked out with the Parking Attendants? Can we barbecue on the beach?
