It's Monterey where the only constant is variability - you never know what the vis is going to be like until you get there and look for yourself. The only vis reports I trust are from people who are dripping wet.

In any case breakwater will rarely have much more than 30 feet but nearly always at least 10, unless you stray too close to a class or other localized visibility disturbance. Still a fun dive but you have to have the right attitude about visibility.
