And now for something completely different...

Surface temp 74 F, below thermocline at 20 ft. 54 F. Vis 1 (cloudy) ft. to zero vis and a blackout condition from sediment. Located pipes and platforms by mainly by touch with a passing faint dim outline as I fanned water over them to remove about 1/2 of silt. Found a full foot fin which I used to brush away the sediment. Closer to shore, masses of dead freshwater clams, 2 small perch, considerable monofilament and sinkers, and a LOT of trash. No alligators.

I've never dove in zero vis / blackout conditions before, so this was a different experience. Actually not all that spooky if you listen for your bubbles, feeling them go upward, and have kevlar cloves to feel around with.
