Elaine,

I've swam for hours and hours carrying Cine Lights that are 16 lbs negative, every weekend in Wakulla the photographers that shoot the pictures carry much heavier gear then you are speaking about, The lights used to film the Brittanic project were extremely heavy but I didn't see too many ankle weights on that project, not too mention the countless other photographers worldwide that "tote heavy camera gear" absent the use of ankle weights, so to suggest to the countless others that routinely do these dives that "ankle weights are a necessity" is a bit of a stretch. If you need them, as I've said, have at it I'm going to sleep just fine tonight but since you seemed so concerned about what people on dive boats might say about gear comments on the internet, please don't suggest that ankle weights are " a necessity" because they aren't.
