This was the last dive of the day of a small group of divers, All but the victim agreed that they would do a 20 minute dive. The victim insisted on doing an hour solo RB dive, the group relented and let him do as he insisted. One of the group members saw him at about 10 minutes into the dive, but no one saw him thereafter. The group ascended at approx. 20 minutes. After 1 hour + plus he hadn't ascended, one of the organizers decided to do a search solo. After 2 additional solo searches the rescue mission was suspended. FTR, the relevant authorities were notified. The next day they discovered his body 300 yards off of the wreck, his drive bottle was empty, his deco bottle was full.

That is what I know based upon my discussions from the organizer of the trip, and the person that did several rescue dives.
