I should have phrased it - there is so much great beach diving that boats aren't nearly as necessary as other places. I'm sure there is some even more remote spots that could been seen by boat. That said, you should have seen the look on the faces of the divers from the Kona Agressor when Brian and I swam up to them IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE and then swam off again. To make it even better, we were headed back to shore so we came from the bottom of a very deep reef and cruised past them on our way to shore. They were seriously confused over the whole ordeal.

The lights are back on at the Sheraton and you can shore dive it, too. You can't enter from their property so you have a swim a ways from a nearby canal. I saw one Manta from the deck when I was hanging out there. I don't think any boats are working that area at the moment (I saw no evidence of it, anyway).

Either way, you can't go wrong. Hawaii is fun.
