While I don't have any interest in piling on here, or using this issue to somehow score points in whatever the flame war du jour may be going on, I do have to say I was bothered by Elaine's photos of the divers lying on the rock structure. It's just bad form. If you have to brace, wedge or otherwise use the reef as a crutch in order to take a photo, then move on. It's not worth it.

A few years ago, while diving in Fiji, I got obsessed taking photos of a sea snake and managed to knock a huge chunk of soft coral off a cavern ceiling in my pursuit. I was horrified when I turned around and saw what I'd done. It's a mistake I've since worked very hard not to repeat.

IMHO It's the only lesson worth taking away from this discussion.
