The Yukon's moorings routinely get damaged in big swells -- I'd imagine it would be the same situation at Farnsworth.

The San Diego Oceans Foundation does a excellent job of repairing the moorings on the Yukon, and it's a lot of work.

However, I wholeheartedly agree that moorings would be a great benefit at Farnsworth.
