UC Davis is running a derelict fishing gear removal project on the SoCal coast. It follows on a successful similar project in the NW Hawaiian island chain. Their website includes ways to report nets and such that will eventually (I suppose) get removed. If you have a good location on nets at Farnsworth, go to the website and do something productive.
