Xanthochromism in S. Cal. fish |

All I recall Pete Haaker telling me is that it does occasionally occur in a few of our local fishes but the opaleye I sent was the first of this species he had seen with it. I have seen other opaleye with the yellow markings on the S. Side of the W. tip of Anacapa. Unfortunately, Peter Haaker has retired from Dept of F&G.
