V-Planner gives you yellow warnings, if you exceed 80% CNS, with too short surface intervals.

And it adds on deco more deco time, the shorter your surface invervals are.

By default, TDI uses 12 hours as a minimum, PADI-DSAT 3 hours, NAUI-TEC 3 hours plus one less ATA of MOD pressure, etc.

I know people who will not do repetitive deco at all.

I have not yet heard any good reason for any one-size-fits-all surface interval.
