I found this at 3 different sites on the West end of San Miguel Island last weekend. The surface containing the holes in hard and encrusted onto the rock. The tentacles withdraw when disturbed.
It was encrusted onto the rock so hard I could not get a sample.
Do you have any idea what this is?
