Not very familiar with the Inspiration, but a quick read of the website suggests that in CC mode, what is being displayed is the SETPOINT not the current PO2.

If it is the SETPOINT and it continued to increase even after the dive (for some reason), it would be one explanation. Albeit, purely conjecture.
