What you do is somewhat dependent on how often you dive.

I dive essentially every weekend, both days.

The regs get dumped in one tank, with a GOOD cap (not the junk
rubber that came with them but a machined delrin DIN cap) to soak
while the rest is being cleaned -- 10 minutes. Overnight would
be overkill - salt is quite soluble in water. Everything else
except tanks and weights and cameras get a quick slosh.
Tanks and weights get hosed when the boat (they live on the boat)
gets hosed. The cameras get an hour to overnight soak,

Not all regs spec annual maintenance. The Atomics spec every other
year because they have a widget that unloads the seats when there's
no tank pressure.
