Hi Jim,

Thanks.

How big is 100-tons?

Well, the Coast Guard answer is 100 cu.ft. equals 1-gross (or net) ton so the math is simple.

If you mean what are the tonnages of some of our local vessels, well, the
GREAT ESCAPE is 95 gt., 64 net,
VISION is 98 gt, 66 net,
Mr. C is 32 gt, 22 net.
CONCEPTION is 97 gt, 66 net.
PEACE is 79 gt, 54 net,
SUNDIVER is 17 gt, 14 net,
MOBY KATE is 7 gt, 5 net.

It was interesting, Jim – another step toward total enlightenment…. ;)

By the way, I’m working backwards through the board, and your report and pictures on Baja is just awesome. Your whale shark encounters and images are amazing.

Be well.

Stay wet.
