Conformity might be the better word? as in, if your company is in the red it naturally get's Attn, in the black means it seems OK. Internationally I believe red means attention also, or new business, like new 'posts' or ALTO signs, make sense? I don't know if switching it would be an improvement? as a painter, color is very subjective to the client, I would never presume to tell someone what they like. Conformity I think is an under utilized word capable of describing the core of many of the worlds conflicts and strifes today. Collisions could also occur if you don't conform to: DIR standards :), salad before entree, pledge of allegience, red lights, etc...
