Giant Kelp (macrocystis) seem to like rock strata. However look at the Olympic, Moody, Ace One, Palawan or any of our other local wrecks and you will find a myriad of life running the entire spectrum. Or for that matter dive the oil rigs to see what attaches to not very inviting metal. An artificial reef is a vibrant ecosystem and an incubator for recovering our lost teeming ocean. The long term importance of this for marine life recovery, given what we have done to our oceans the last 50 years, cannot be overstated.
