We went diving off of Palos Verdes Sunday night. We were in the reef area near the Avalon searching for Lobsters. About half way through the dive, a "fog bank" like silty zero visability thing started moving across the area. While you could easily swim ahead of it, you could not get around it. It was moving south. It eventually silted out the entire dive area and we were forced to surface. On the surface there was no evidence of unusual wave activity. Anyone know what this might have been?
