This is the most serious post that I ever written.

A few years ago a dive boat and her captain made the mistake to trust the DM’s on his boat; this was the only mistake, in my opinion that the Captain made, and one that every other captain has made. Every single boat in the fleet used to trust DM’s on their ability to check the divers in and out. Since this incident, the absolute trust of the DM has been forever shattered. All boats now use their own method to check for divers.
This weekend I was appalled that a Padi certified instructor, laughed and made fun of a Padi certified DM (all from the same shop) who was only trying to make sure all divers were on the boat. The instructor should be some how disciplined and the DM rewarded. Some of the divers were also belligerent that the DM insisted in seeing them. I wonder if those are the divers that we should ask to leave the boats now, and not return?
