THANKS for that link...I LOVE it! I suspect my kids (I have a 16 yr old and a 15 yr old) will eventually be saying some of the same stuff... ;)

As for the dive, I was told it was an advanced dive, and we had a DM with us. But I felt confident I could handle it, given that the issues are mostly about strength and fitness to be able to handle the long surface swim and the current. I'm in pretty good shape for an old broad! I agree that I need to be very careful...I am keenly aware how new I am, and how little I know...which is why I'm diving so much and continuing my education.
