On June 8, 2006, the California Ocean Protection Council adopted A Vision of Our Ocean and Coast, a five-year strategic plan. At the OPC’s November 28, 2006 meeting, Executive Policy Officer Drew Bohan will present a list of four proposed policy and funding OPC priorities for 2007:

  1. Governance Reform
  2. Research and Monitoring
  3. Water Quality
  4. MLPA and MLMA
On November 7 in Oakland and November 9 in Los Angeles , Drew will discuss these priorities and ask for input from all interested stakeholders. The specific locations for these meetings are as follows:
  • Nov. 7 at 2 p.m. ( Oakland ) – 1330 Broadway, 4th Floor (in the same building as the State Coastal Conservancy)
  • Nov. 9 at 1 p.m. ( Los Angeles ) – 320 W. 4th Street, Suite 200 (at the offices of the LA Regional Board)
