I finished my mid-week project this afternoon. I laid line from the pier pilings in the center of the cove at Cobble Beach out to the newly re-discovered Marineland Platform. The line begins in 15 feet and goes across the long piling that lays parallel to the West side of the 120 Reef. It then crosses over the reef for about 50 feet before heading across the sand to a depth of 80 feet. The wooden deck and a few of the tires are now gone but the platform is covered with algae, several species of nudibranchs and today there was a large school of Blacksmith hovering above it. Along the line you will come across large Sea Pens and a few Mantis shrimp. I saw a very large one Tuesday. The line is thin and cheap, so be careful not to grab it.
