The ocean looked inviting so I decided to make a dive in my local watering hole after work today. I found more trash under water today than I did at the Paul Meister Memorial dive in September. My drysuit pocket was quite full when I exited. I also found something very unexpected, a Hopkin's Rose nudibranch in the cove. I've only seen them in Shaw's Cove and Marineland. I swam out to the outer kelp beds first but the vis was the usual two feet there. As I made my way toward the cove the vis improved to ten feet in places. I didn't find my Giant Sea Bass buddy but I did see his dinner crawling out in the open. I'll be desert-dwelling this weekend so I needed to get a little salt water in my system to hold me over until Thanksgiving. I hope everyone gets in some great dives this weekend. The conditions will be excellent. I just know it. :)
