Keep in mind that the internet frequently has misinformation sprinkled in with information. Because one or two facts may be correct in a post, it doesn't mean that the entire post is factually accurate. It is often very difficult to know what is accurate and what is not. It is not any kind of official information release - it is just somebody who likes to type making a post.

At this point in time, none of us can do much more than wonder. We all see a part of ourselves in any dive accident. What we pick out of the vagueness often says more about us than it does with what may or may not have happened. For the time being, if being a better buddy is a topic that grabs your interest - why not disassociate it with this event entirely and start a thread about being a dive buddy.
