Actually all tanks get lighter as you use the air. An Al80 tank becomes very buoyant (about +5 lbs), a HP 80 becomes less negative (about -2 lbs.). You are used to buoyant pull of the Al tank. I personally do not like buoyant tanks and I add 5 lbs of lead to Al80s when I have to use one to compensate for their buoyancy.

I think if Sport Chalet does not have your tank they owe you a new one. You are not the first person I know who's tank has vanished a Sport Chalet.
