A few divers were allowed access to OML tonite and were treated to some of the best conditions all year. Dead calm, full moon, warm waters and 25+ feet of "Night Vision", WOW! We saw all the regular critters that were out to play including big "Lings", bugs, nudists, etc... my personal highlight tonite was a lone and fearless juvinile Corbina, out on the sand, peaceful, alluring and as docile as ever. After our cordial and extended exchange I reflected on how bad I felt for all the ones we pole speared as kids. Today it's still not a very good idea to eat any bottom or filter feeders(Bugz/Ling/Scallops/Croakers Etc.) from the south side of the PV peninsula because of the Montrose/DDT bed nearshore.... but the Corbina in Hermosa were some of the best fish I've ever prepared. It was also a pleasure to dive with John G. tonite, watch for his future photos. Sea ya Out There!
